About the event

Formed in 2023 to headline The Festival of Sound’s Busk at Dusk, and followed that with a sold out show at Ramsgate Music Hall earlier this year. They return to Festival this year with a brand new show, The Liquid Love Chronicles, a space age tale of the history and science of love.

The Liquid Love Chronicles is a musical exploration of love in all its forms – animal, vegetable and spiritual. Via the medium of funk, soul, and rock 'n' roll, the Future Psychedelics the Future will take you on this sci-fi odyssey like no other: deep diving into the unknown depths to uncover the inner workings of that last and greatest of the universe's mysteries, the human heart. Imagine Tomorrow's World meets Earth, Wind and Fire on a yellow submarine #WeAreNotACult

Band members include Andy Waterworth of Penguin Cafe Orchestra on bass, Duncan Mackay (Primal Scream) on Trumpet, and Theo Gordon (Producer Wagga Man) on Keys. Their live show is fast paced and high energy, offering reworkings of classic tracks alongside original numbers, all interspaced with theatre and showmanship as ‘Quin the Merciless’ invites audience members to open their third eyes and journey into the ‘future future’. Key influences include Gill Scott Heron, Curtis Mayfied and Sun Ra.
