You’ve been crying since the day you were born, often without noticing, and will do
so for the rest of your life. Crying is a natural and unavoidable part of our journey,
witnessing every facet of the human experience from birth to death, joy to pain. It’s
something we all share, and yet it’s also something we tend to hide, or shy away
from.
What might it mean to feel safe in our tears? To see clearly, through them, that we’re more similar than we might believe?Composer, conductor and musician Naomi Hammerton has written a piece of music that explores the power of our tears within the context of human connection; this private and personal action we all share and can use to express ourselves eitheralone or together. The work will be performed by Neptunes Choir and Kings Place
Choir, alongside other powerful artwork exploring the theme of tears.
